2023 Private BECE School Selection Portal Opened
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has officially opened the 2023 Private BECE School Candidates Selection Portal. This was contained in a letter sighted by the ExamHall portal.
The school selection period for private candidates is Monday 3rd to 24th October 2023.
How to access the Private BECE School Selection Portal
- Go to https://www.waecinternetsolution.org
- On the site, enter your 2023 BECE Index Number as your Login ID
- Enter your Date of Birth as your Password
- Click on the Login Button to proceed.
- Choose and enter the schools, accommodation, programme, etc
- Verify and cross-check to ensure the details entered and the arrangement of schools chosen is correct.
- Complete the school selection by submitting the schools selected.

Management of the Ghana Education Service wishes to inform you that the School Selection Portal was opened by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for both BECE 2023 Schools and Private Candidates to enable them to select their schools online for 2023 placement.
Private BECE Candidates are to visit https://www.waecinternetsolution.org to select their Second Cycle Schools using their Index Number and Date of Birth as Login ID and Password respectively.
By this letter, Regional Directors are kindly requested to communicate this information to the Metro/Municipal/District Directors of Education to ensure effective supervision and monitoring for the successful completion of the exercise within the stipulated time.

In a related department, WAEC has hinted at a delay in the marking and releasing of 2023 BECE and 2023 WASSCE scripts and results.
The projected delay is the result of the government, failure to pay WAEC exam fees owed by the government.
