However, students in SHS 1 in schools where the transitional calendar is being used will continue to be on vacation until June 2023.
This means that SHS1 students who went to school in February will be returning home for their vacation until June this year.

In the letter, the GES indicates that “Management also wishes to inform Heads of Second Cycle Schools running the Transitional Calendar that SHS One (1) students are to continue with their vacation until their scheduled re-opening in June, 2023.”
It called on the Regional Directors to communicate the vacation to all schools within their jurisdictions.
“Regional Directors are by this letter directed to ensure that Heads of Second Cycle Schools in their respective regions take note and comply accordingly to facilitate a smooth running of the academic year.
Counting on your usual cooperation.”
