Projected Computing Topics For 2024 BECE

The 2024 BECE will be written in the second week of July, 2024. Let’s take a look at the projected topics for Computing.

Computing, formerly called Information And Communication Technology(ICT) is likely to be written on Thursday, 11th July, 2024. Projected topics for the exams has been revealed.

All candidates are advised to go through these questions. WAEC will surely set all questions from these selected topics.

COMPUTING PROJECTED TOPICS

1. Spreadsheet applications (Microsoft excel, Access point etc). The cell, merge, formula, column and others

2. Web browsers and service providers (Microsoft word, opera, Google chrome and others)

3. Classifications of computer( by side, data handling, functionality etc). Minicomputer, Super computer, workstation computer, micro computer etc.

4. Uses, importance, hazards and threats of a computer.

5. Part and components of a computer.  (The hardware eg. the keyboard, mouse, monitor system unit etc.) Software components.

6. The Internet (internet etiquette, the use of computer laboratory, fraudulent).

7. Computing devices.( computer, radio, PAS Mobile phone)

8 Storage devices and their uses (peripherals, input and output devices

9. Microsoft Word.

These selected/predicted topics do not in any way mean you should ignore all other topics. They are also not leaked areas but the topic examhall believes no student should fall short in when preparing for the next BECE.

Candidates need to follow all the laid down rules and regulations and they will be successful in the exams. Free Education awaits them at the secondary level.
